The Fire Awareness course is aimed at all employees. Delegates will develop a basic awareness of how fires occur and what to do in the event of a fire occurring.
The fire extinguisher practical session is aimed at employees who work in kitchens or where guests and residents may need more time to evacuate the building. delegates will have an opportunity to extinguish a controlled live fire.
The Fire Awareness with Evacuation Practical is aimed at employees in settings where it may be necessary to assist with the evacuation of patients or residents. This course focuses on progressive evacuation skill-building.

The short answer is yes.
Regulation 15(1) of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states:
The responsible person must –
(a)establish and, where necessary, give effect to appropriate procedures, including safety drills, to be followed in the event of serious and imminent danger to relevant persons;
(b)nominate a sufficient number of competent persons to implement those procedures in so far as they relate to the evacuation of relevant persons from the premises; and
(c)ensure that no relevant person has access to any area to which it is necessary to restrict access on grounds of safety, unless the person concerned has received adequate safety instruction.
Regulation 21 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states:
The responsible person must ensure that his employees are provided with adequate safety training
There have been a number of prosecutions in recent years for failure to meet these regulations with fines of over £10,000 being issued
The simple answer is if you employ anyone then yes.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires any employer to carry out an assessment of risk from fire to their employees. Up until October 2023 the significant findings only needed to be recorded if you employed more than five people. However, Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022, which came into force in 2023 now requires any employ with premises and at least one employee to record their significant findings.
