Responsible Person Training
The responsible person training is aimed at Owners, managers and supervisors, in any organisation, who may be called upon to take a leadership role in a fire.
History has shown us that human behaviour in a fire situation often requires people to be told what to do and how. This means that it can be very important that managers or supervisors can act calmly and take charge of the situation. This leadership can literally save lives.
Prosecutions, as well as the value of fines, for fire safety breaches, have risen massively since the Grenfell Fire. A better understanding of the duties of the responsible person would help avoid most prosecutions.
Through presentations and workshops, we will develop your team’s leadership skills, and knowledge of the Fire Safety Order, so they can carry out the role with confidence.

Responsible Person Training Syllabus
This course builds on skills learned on a Fire Marshal or Fire Evacuation course. The content is delivered in an interactive session including case studies, video, presentation and workshop sessions
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at nominated responsible persons or those with a supervisory role, who may be expected to take charge of a fire alarm or evacuation
How long does it last?
This training usually takes about two hours
What topics are covered?
This training focuses on the role of the responsible person.
Also, taking charge in a fire situation. The training explores the actions a supervisor should take before and during an emergency. Delegates will develop a fire safety plan for their setting
How much does it cost?
This course is delivered on or off-site. The cost is £350 for up to 10 delegates
