West Yorkshire Fire Safety's Mission
At West Yorkshire Fire Safety we are passionate about creating a fire-safe culture.
We do this through excellent fire risk assessments and engaging training courses.
Our mission is to work with our clients to ensure that:
- Their premises are fully risk assessed and as safe from fire as reasonably practicable
- The responsible person fully understands and engages in their duties relating to fire safety and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Their staff are educated in the hazards associated with fire in the workplace and are able to act to prevent them
Our Extraordinary Experiences
Ed Holliday, Managing Director, established West Yorkshire Fire Safety after leaving his 30-year career with the fire and rescue service in 2019.
During his career, Ed worked in various roles and counties. Ed’s final posting was managing the National Fire Chiefs Council’s (NFCC) change portfolio. He did this from London Fire Brigade’s headquarters in Southwark. Whilst here, London Fire Brigade faced one of its greatest fires since the Second World War at Grenfell Tower.
As Ed was overseeing the national fire service-learning secretariat, he saw first hand how devastating this type of tragedy is to members of the community and firefighters alike. Ed had already developed a strong desire to work with industry to improve their fire safety. the Grenfell Fire merely underpinned this. It Ed’s desire to work within his business community that led to the formation of our business.
